What does being an Australian mean to you? To me it means getting out there, enjoying the beach and being active (especially during the warm summer months). However, with Australia’s notorious sun it is so important to ensure that sun protection is our top priority which is why I choose Hamilton Sunscreen.
Look, I’m not going to lie to you – I do not like suncream. I find it annoying, stick and really just a shlep, but I know its important so I deal with that gross, sticky feeling that sunscreen gives you along with all the sand that ends up stuck to my body. I’ve tried s many sunscreens over the years just trying to find then that doesn’t leave me dreading putting it on and I am happy to say that I have FINALLY found one. Hamilton Sunscreen is an Australian owned sunscreen brand that has a 5-star Canstar rating.
The sunscreen was first produced in the 1920’s by Hilton Blake, a chemist from Adelaide and was tested at the University of Adelaide before the brand’s laboratories were established in 1932. The family-focussed brand is all rated SPF50+ and comes in lotions, roll-ons and sprays.
I tested out three of their four types of sunscreens – Active Family, Sensitive and Everyday Face. I did not test the Toddler variation of the sunscreen, but if it is anything like the three i tried – trust me its amazing! The Sensitive variation of the sunscreen also has these benefits, but is specially formulated to reduce potential allergies and is free from fragrance, colours and lanolin. The Everyday Face sunscreen is the perfect base for your makeup as it has a sheer tint (so it’s finish is practically invisible), it contains Aloe Vera and Vitamin E and is suitable for all skin types.
I found the sunscreen to be amazing! The dry-touch technology meant that it dried very fast so it felt more like a light moisturising lotion rather than a sunscreen and because there was no time for the sand to stick to me. The sunscreen is also sweat resistant which I really like and offers UVA and UVB protection.
I hope you love this sunscreen as much as I do!
