Chances are if you’re reading this you have a dad that’s pretty difficult to buy presents for or maybe you’re just looking for some extra inspiration. Either way, keep reading because if you’re stumped for Father’s Day gift ideas, I’ve got you…
I absolutely adore my dad, but buying present or him is the worst! I honestly never know what to get him so I thought I would pop together some of my favourite products (tested by two dads – my dad and my sisters partner) and hopefully make your Father’s Day a little easier.
My Dad absolutely loves DVDs, He literally has two glass cabinets full of them (not even kidding) so when I asked him to watch these and see what he thought, he was pretty stocked! When I told mom that she couldn’t bug him, he was even happier hahaha. These five DVDs are from a collection called ‘Films That Define A Decade’ and each disc has four movies that defined that decade from the ‘60s all the way to the 00’s. So if you’re thinking of getting him the whole collection, the DVD from the dead he was born in or the one with his favourites, trust me – it will be a hit! The movies on each disc are as follows:
60’s: The Birds, Breakfast At Tiffany’s, To Kill A Mocking Bird, Psycho
70’s: Close Encounter Of The Third Kind, The Sting, Monty Python And The Holy Grail, Smokey And The Bandit
80’s: An American Werewolf In London, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Ghostbusters
90’s: American Pie, The Big Lebowski, The Usual Suspects, Casino
00’s: 8 Mile, Gladiator, The Borne Identity, Mamma Mia
Dad’s deserve to be pampered too so these goodies are perfect for him! I got my sister partner to try these goodies and he came back with rave reviews. The Biology Body Bar (soap) smells absolutely amazing and let’s face it all of Biology’s are freaking awesome so you really can’t go wrong with this!! The Appelles Wheat Protein Shampoo. This product enhances the natural shine and gently cleanses the hair while the Planifolia Conditioner gently detangles the hair leaving it beautifully smooth. The Aromatherapy Co’s Therapy Man Everyday Candle is the perfect complimenting product for some ‘dad time’.
No matter how many times a week I nag my dad to use skin care, he won’t until I told him he had to try these Feel God Inc products if he wanted the DVDs mentioned above (bribery is great). I can now proudly say that Dad wears this super light weigh sunscreen every day as it is not sticky and he ‘doesn’t even know it’s there’. At night he removes it with the Sticky Zinc Face Wipes because he is too lazy to wash his actual face. The Paw Paw Nectar is great for dads who have dry lips or chapped hands.
If you’re looking for a new cologne for dad this Father’s Day look no further than the new David Beckham fragrance called ‘Respect’. It smells absolutely amazing and the packaging is pretty awesome too! With top notes of grapefruit, watermelon and pink pepper; a heart of lavender, basil and cardamom; and a base of vetiver, patchouli and oak moss. It is a very earthy cologne that will smell great on any man!
Finally, if your dad loves books, this is one of my favourite. Chapter One by Daniel Flynn, the co-founder of Thank You, is a great read and something almost everyone who has read it loves!
I hope you manage to find something in here (or elsewhere) for you Dad and that you have a lovely Father’s Day.
