If you’ve been following me on Instagram for the past few months you’ll know that I have been doing a colour series. These posts have been my most view posts over the last two months and I can see why people love them, they perfectly satisfy my OCD and apparently yours too. Unfortunately it is time for this to come to an end, but as one big farewell I have rounded up all fourteen flatlays and my inspiration behind each one…
This was the first image in the colour series, back when I didn’t intend to create a series at all. It was just a round up of all my favourite purple products to celebrate the launch of the new John Frieda products I was sent.
Again this wasn’t a planned image of the colour series, it was to highlight the launch of the Neutrogena Visibly Clear range. The reason these to were lined up was due to the theme of my feed.
This was when I realised I created the accidental colour series and thought I would keep it going as everyone seemed to be loving it so much. The inspiration behind this image was the NEW Kerastase range (which I will be chatting about soon).
4. Black and White
This one is just a collection of some of my favourite black and white products from gorgeous brands
This one was just a cute little peach flatlay inspired by my Peachy Seven Wonders shirt
One of my favourite from the series and one that was inspired by the amazing packaging of Bobbi Brown… I mean look at those lipsticks!
Honestly around this point I stopped finding ‘inspo’ for the posts and just started creating flatly from products that I loved and that matched the colour scheme
ALLLLLLLL the green things because a few of my lovely followers suggested I do green!
So this was where I intended to stop the series, but hen I announced it everyone was so upset and I was inundated with colours I had not yet done so I decided to continue it for a little longer
This was also a suggestion sent in by you guys and it is one of my favourites from the series! I’ve never been a red girl so I wasn’t sure how this would turn out, but I love it!
White to celebrate turning the big 25!
12. Rose Gold
Without a doubt my favourite in the series and a flatlay I created in memory of my beautiful rose gold little bun who sadly passed away
All black everything because what is a colour series without a complete blackout right?!
And last but not least – YELLOW! AKA the happiest colour. I decided to end on yellow as its such a bright, vibrant and happy colour that reflects my feelings about the series.
I have no doubt that the colour series will be back at some stage, but its time for a break so I hope you all enjoyed it while it lasted!
