A Bush Getaway

There is nothing better than a getaway, especially when it is to a five star bush retreat! When the lovely Sara from Bina Maya offered us a stay at her luxury retreat there was no was I was about to say no!

Last October (2019) we packed up the car and headed down South for a three day getaway and it was just what we needed! The tranquil bush, us time and a dash of exploring was perfection, but NOTHING beat our accomodation. We stayed in the beautiful Villa and it was uber luxe…

The Villa

This is where we stayed. The Villa can sleep either two or four as there are two bedrooms, but rest assured if it is just two people you still have the whole place to yourself! I could have stayed in this villa forever! It had everything we needed and was absolutely beautiful! Let me take you through it…

The kitchen

You walking in and you’ve got an amazing, fully equiped kitchen (I mean it, EVERYTHING is there from spices to plates) with a WINE FRIDGE and a Nespresso machine. The pantry is packed with coffee pods, teas, herbs, spices, olive oil and even popcorn! On the right there is a big cupboard with a fully equipped laundry inside (washing machine, dryer, iron and sink). If you’re busy popping popcorn in the kitchen, you don’t need to worry about missing the movie thanks to the open plan design!

The living space

The Italian leather couch faces onto a Smart TV with complimentary Netflix, Stan and all the TV channels! Not feeling like a movie night? All good – pop the Sonos on, grab a board game from the cupboard and enjoy the Spotify while sitting in front of the Morso wood fireplace and enjoy some wine. The high speed wifi meant I was able to post snaps to Instagram with ease while Forbes watched YouTube. The dining nook has the most beautiful BIG windows meaning breakfast always had a view. Step outside onto the patio and you’ve got a top of the range BBQ and dining table with comfy chairs for an outdoor BBQ evening! Oh and don’t worry if its hot OR cold! You’ve got the fire place, aircon and ceiling fans!

The Bedroom

The bedroom was my absolute favourite!! The king bed was oh so comfy with the softest linen and a million dollar view. I have never stayed in such a unique room! When we woke up in the mornings, we would open the blinds, hop back in bed and enjoy the stunning view! If you’re lucky you’ll even spot a kangaroo or two! The window seat offers the perfect place to enjoy a magazine or book. The cupboard has plush robes and little slippers ready for a cosy night in! PS – the bed in the photo was made by yours truly and it looked A LOT better before!

The Bathroom

If you walk through the bedroom you enter the most extra bathroom with a freestanding bath, rainfall shower and so much natural light! There is a hairdryer in the cupboard as well as ALL the toiletries! I didn’t need to pack anything as there was the most beautiful, locally made shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, face wash, moisturiser and more. Oh and THE SOFTEST Egyptian cotton towels you’ll ever feel are in this bathroom! You guys know how much I love a good bath so I obviously enjoyed this gorgeous bath more than once!

Other bits

Bina Maya is offers everything you never knew you needed. You can get an in-house chef, spa treatments, yoga lessons and breakfast hampers. The Residence is the other house on the property which sleeps eight in a four bedroom home. The Residence offer all the same amazing amenities as The Villa does.

I honestly cannot recommend booking a getaway here! It is absolutely AMAZING and there is even a stunning art gallery on site!

Thank you so much to Bina Maya for our amazing stay!

Xxx, Angie

The stay was a gifted experience. All opinions are my own and, as always, honest!
